Do we share personal data? With whom?

Your personal data will be shared internally within Volksmission e.C. (Uganda) so that we can fulfil the purpose for which you provided it. Where necessary, we will share your information with our service providers in order to allow them to deliver services to Volksmission e.C. Do we send personal data outside Uganda?

Your personal data may be transferred outside Uganda if, for example, Volksmission e.C. Where your personal information is transferred to a service provider or Volksmission e.C. (Uganda) office based outside of Uganda, we will ensure that your personal data is protected to the same extent as in Uganda through one of the following safeguards:

Transfer to a country (in the European Union or otherwise) whose national privacy legislation ensures an adequate level of protection of personal data as determined by the Ugandan government; or put in place a contract with the service provider or Volksmission e.C. Anonymous statistics cookies

Google Analytics

The Website uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. This analytical tool uses ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors’ use of the Website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for the Volksmission e.C. (Uganda).

The Volksmission e.C. (Uganda) will not (and will not allow any third party) to use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source as part of our use of the Google statistical analytics tool.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither the Volksmission e.C. (Uganda) nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user.

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. See Google’s Analytics overview for further information.

Marketing cookies

Google Ads

We use Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting to create remarketing audiences based on specific behaviour, demographic, and interest data.

We retrieve basic demographic and content interest data via Google Ads cookies, for users who have consented to Ads personalisation with Google. Via Google Signals, we link this to individual – but anonymous – user behaviour tracked via the Google Analytics cookie. The resultant user profiling is made available, in aggregate, in Google Analytics reports. These are estimations of user attributes based on Google Ads behaviour and are not accurate personal data. To further protect user privacy, we cannot report demographic and interest data at the individual level, even anonymously: there is a threshold of at least 7 users before this information may be shown in any Google Analytics report.

These audiences can then be targeted by online advertising through Google Ads when visitors are browsing Google or its partner websites.

Volksmission e.C. (Uganda) will not (and will not allow any third party) to use Google Analytics or Google Ads to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our website.
